Inspired by social movements of the past, Wichita Falls Diversity Coalition began in 2023 when a few Falls community members decided to organize and make an impact. Our Minority Rights Movement challenges "The City that Faith Built" to embrace the work of tearing down the biases of the past and building up a diverse, respectful community.
Advocacy Areas
WF Diversity Coalition began work with the issue area most impactful to our leadership. However, we hope to grow into all areas of need among minoritized groups in our area. If you have an advocacy area you would like to help with, contact us below! We are always welcoming of ideas and folx to get involved!
LGBTQIA+ Issues
Love Wins!
In today's social and political climate, advocacy for LGBTQIA+ Communities is needed more than ever. WFDC hosts an annual "Pride in the Park" as part of our effort to better connect queer folx and allies. A family-friendly event, PITP hosted approx. 300 attendees in 2023. We hope to grow this to 400 in 2024.
